Maryam Mohamed
Founder and Psychotherapist
Hi! My name is Maryam Mohamed, and I’m a Registered Psychotherapist with an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Linguistics, Psychology, and Human Geography from the University of Toronto, and a Master of Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University. I’m passionate about how systems in society affect health outcomes, and I work with adults navigating trauma, identity, neurodivergence, and belonging. As a neurodiverse third-culture kid, I love exploring diversity, spirituality, and the deeper meanings behind life’s challenges. In my free time, you can usually find me hanging out with my cat or critiquing cheesy TV shows.
Sonya Labidi
Research Assistant
Hello! My name is Sonya Labidi, and I am a fourth-year undergraduate psychology student at York University, specializing in Child and Youth Development. My research interests focus on the effects of critical periods throughout childhood and adolescence. I am passionate about increasing social awareness of neurodiversity and advocating for changes that make environments more inclusive for individuals with neurodevelopmental differences. Outside of psychology, I enjoy reading and writing reviews of my latest film obsessions!
Mr. Bojangles (Bo)
Domestic Well-being Consultant
Bo is our resident emotional support cat, famed for surprise cameos in virtual therapy sessions to lift spirits. When fully stretched, he rivals the height of an average 8-year-old human, bringing both a commanding and comforting presence to the team. A Quebec street native with a mysterious past, Bo now embraces a slower lifestyle, sleeping up to 20 hours a day and dedicating four to the art of digestion. Off-duty, he’s either enforcing his boundaries or, hypocritically, imposing on others’.
